Arlington Heights Senior Center reopens

The Arlington Heights Senior Center and its tenant agencies have reopened to a modified schedule of activities with social distancing measures and health standards in place, village officials said Friday.

The center, at 1801 W. Central Road, had a soft reopening on July 6 and will be open weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the foreseeable future.

Visitors will need to complete a health questionnaire and have their temperature taken upon entry to the building, and face coverings are required. Drop-in programs like billiards, card playing, mahjong, Ping-Pong and Wii are suspended until further notice. Preregistration for classes is required. Starting Monday, the Reading Room will be open with limited capacity to browse and check out materials from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
