Hoffman Estates' 2023 road work scheduled to begin Monday

The village of Hoffman Estates is investing more than $6 million to rehabilitate 30 streets in 2023, with work scheduled to begin Monday.

Five streets, including sections of Brighton Lane, Hassell Court, Navajo Lane, Pleasant Street, and Princeton Street, are slated for reconstruction this year. Street reconstruction involves the full removal of roadway pavement, followed by the placement of new stone base and asphalt. These streets will also be receiving new curbs and gutters, with partial apron and sidewalk replacements.

The remaining 25 streets will be resurfaced, which includes removal of the surface of the street and replacing it with new asphalt, along with minor curb, gutter and sidewalk replacement.
