Shaving cream fun
Kids got a chance to be messy and creative during a shaving cream art class at Cook Park Library in Libertyville Tuesday.
Certified Art Therapist Jessica Rossi of Grayslake led the class as kids made prints using shaving cream, paint and different shaped paper.
Kids flattened shaving cream into a pan and then paint was added. The children used forks to swirl the paint in the shaving cream and then placed a piece of paper on it to make a relief print which created marbleized-like images on the paper.
"This is a sensory experience," said Rossi. "It's a messy kind of art, which is something they're usually not allowed to do. It's fun to create something so beautiful and full of color," Rossi added.
