Boys cross country: St. Viator wins Fenton sectional

St. Viator's boys cross country team nosed out Solario Academy of Chicago 88-89 Saturday to win the Class 2A Fenton sectional championship Saturday.

Freshman Mickey Schumacher led the Lions, taking 10th place in a time of 16:44.

Also scoring for St. Viator were junior Matt Goss (14th, 16:58), junior Patric Natindim (15th, 16:59), senior Jason Doland (24th, 17:24) and junior Patrick Schumacher (25th, 17:27).

Chicago Mather, Chicago Latin and Niles Notre Dame also qualified as teams.

Chicago Lake View senior Ethan Breen was the individual winner in a time of 15:40.
