Mundelein High School to crown Mr. Mustang

Fourteen seniors will compete for the title of Mr. Mustang during an evening of entertainment at Mundelein High School at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in the auditorium.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students, seniors and children

The "whodunit" theme for the night is "The Mystery of the Missing Crown." Earlier this year, the senior girls voted for their favorites to be contestants.

The evening's events will include a dance act involving the entire group, talent, the contestants reading a letter to their parents and more. The talent acts include dancers, singers, skits, musicians, comedians and a taekwondo act. Senior girls will assist in some of the acts.

The 14 contestants include Dillon Blake, Ryan Burns, Tyler Green, Daniel Koenemann, Ahmad "The OG" Koya, Derek Lee, Colin Nacion, Ander Nuttall, Brady Parks, Yael Pena, Elias Photopoulos, Allan Rodriguez, Frank Vecchie and Steven Weiss. Serving as masters of ceremonies will be Garrett Munz and Sahil Patel.

The pool of 14 will eventually be narrowed to five. From those five the second and first runners-up, along with Mr. Mustang 2020, will be announced.

All proceeds from the event will go to the senior class for end-of-the-year activities.
