Seeing how it happens
The political events of the past few months resurrected the stirring discussions my classmates and I had in sixth grade while studying World History. How could people allow the rise to power of a Nero, or Caligula, or Hitler, or Mussolini, or Stalin? We felt comfortable that in our country of educated and intelligent people this could never happen. Now, years later, are we experiencing the "how"?
