Des Plaines citizens gave from the heart
Over the weekend prior to Memorial Day, the members of the American Legion Des Plaines Post 36 were out in force taking donations for poppies to help support our services to hospitalized veterans.
The people of Des Plaines were most generous in their support of this program, and we want to take this opportunity to thank you for that support.
We had the chance to meet you all, one on one, and share some of your stories and memories of past military service, and for that we are thankful. Your generosity will help us to provide some of the incidentals that the VA does not handle.
Again, thank you all for your support of this most necessary program.
