Letter: Best for Lake clerk

I read your endorsement for Lake County clerk and also the bios of the two candidates. It didn't seem like the endorsers read the bios.

As everyone knows, voting issues have been major subjects of debate in our country. The incumbent has kept Lake County voting processes as reliable as humanly possible through major distractions such as COVID and the polarization at the national level. These experiences have been lived through, and learned from, by Robin O'Connor. It would be a shame to lose that experience.

That said, I applaud the challenger for offering an alternative in public service and wish him well in the future. For now, your endorsement should have been for O'Connor
