'Others money,' not problem-solving

After years of listening and watching the actions of what is called the progressive movement in this country, it still baffles me that the folks who embrace these changes (health care, college for all, minimum base incomes, etc.) spend enormous amounts of money and time to make each of these a political/social issue instead of just solving the problem.

Ultimately, the problem is "who is going to pay for it" and/or "from where does the money come" to address it. If there is a believe or perception that an issue exists, then solve the problem instead of making each a political/social battle that never ends to change hearts, minds and demand money of others and, worse yet, the issue … still exists.

There is more than plenty of money on the progressive left to address the financial needs with more than 1/3 earning over 200K and then, of course, the largest percentage of very high earners in this country supporting these issues.

My gosh, set up a not-for-profit, cut the checks and address the concern. Solve the issue/problem and best of all take full credit.

Of what good does it do to try and "change" folks while the problem/issue is allowed to languish?

I await this problem-solving solution from the progressive shakers and movers, but will not hold my breath. It seems to be more about "other's money" instead of solving the problem.
