Hoffman Estates sets annual Sept. 11 ceremony

Hoffman Estates will honor all those who tragically lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, during the village's annual Sept. 11th Ceremony of Remembrance.

The ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at village hall, 1900 Hassell Road. Schaumburg Fire Department Lt. and 9/11 first responder John Schneidwind will be the speaker of honor. He will share his firsthand experience assisting at ground zero in the aftermath of the tragedy.
