'Music with a Mission' aids local charities

Countryside Church Unitarian Universalist in Palatine is pleased to host its 10th annual Music with a Mission from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at 1025 N. Smith St., Palatine.

Join the magical night of music and merriment benefiting local nonprofit organizations in the community. A variety of musical groups will be featured, from solo acts to full bands. Beer, wine and snacks will be available. There is a $10-$30 suggested donation.

"This event is a real bargain for the public. It's three hours of local music talent - 10 solo, small groups and full bands - for a modest contribution," said Jeff Phillips, the event originator.

"We will fill the room with music lovers from Palatine and beyond. And the artists are excited to give their all for our worthy outreach partners. It's a win-win!"
