Marian Central tops Wauconda

Vannessa Garrelts scored 20 points, and Marian Central's girls basketball team defeated visiting Wauconda 56-44 in a nonconference game Thursday night.

It was the fourth loss in a row for Wauconda (10-5).

North Chicago 38, Round Lake 34: The Panthers fell to 0-5 in North Suburban Prairie play.

Miya Johnson led Round Lake with 14 points, while Diane Flade added nine.

North Chicago's Alyssa Bouie led all scorers with 21 points.

Lake Forest 47, Round Lake 29: The host Scouts earned an NSC crossover win Tuesday behind a 20-point, 9-steal effort from Delaney Williams.
