Cook County extends deadline to apply for disabled tax exemption
Cook County has extended to Thursday, March 17, the deadline to apply for the Disabled Persons Homeowner Exemption.
This exemption provides a disabled person with an annual $2,000 reduction in the equalized assessed value (EAV) of a property. To qualify, the applicant must be: Disabled, own or have a legal or interest in the property, live in the property.
