Still proud

I am a senior at Palatine High School and on Nov. 8 voted for the first time. I was well-informed regarding the issues and had studied both candidates and watched all three debates. I had confidence in my vote.

She may have lost but I am proud to say "I'm with her" in my first presidential election. I will never let fear, hatred, homophobia, xenophobia, racism, sexism, able ism, or islamophobia control me the way it has our president-elect and his followers. I will not stand idly by while our country regresses 50

years.
