Elgin police report shots fired

Shots were fired Saturday morning on the 800 block of Adams Street in Elgin, according to Elgin police.

Police said officers responded to a call reporting the shots at 6:28 a.m. They arrived on the scene and confirmed the report.

Police gave no other details.
