Why are Trump's NFL tweets even news?

So President Trump thinks it is unpatriotic for football players to kneel in protest of the way that black people are treated in this country. But it is not unpatriotic or tantamount to treason to work with a foreign government to get elected.

Hmmm, seems like someone doesn't really know what patriotism is and is creating his usual smoke screen to divert attention from the truly important issue of foreign governments hacking into election systems, buying ads on google to support his candidacy and his multiple financial entanglements with Russian oligarchs.

Why are Trump's tweets on this issue news?
