Izaak Walton League to host 'Ice Fishing 101' Jan. 11
On Saturday, Jan. 11, the Elgin Chapter of the Izaak Walton League, in partnership with Cook County Forest Preserve, will be having an informational program on ice fishing at the Rolling Knolls Forest Preserve, 11N260 Rohressen Road in Elgin. Learn how to build an ice-rod, discuss necessary tackle, bait, suitable locations and safety precautions from 10 a.m. to noon.
