Faried 'much better' after neck injury against Warriors

DENVER (AP) - Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried says he's "doing much better" after being taken off the court on a stretcher with a neck injury following a loss to Golden State the night before.

Faried posted on Instagram on Sunday he's "a little sore, but I'm the Manimal - I'm not going to (let) this keep me down & out long!"

His CT scan was normal and he's listed as questionable for Sunday night's against Portland. Faried is the team's leading rebounder this season.

Faried took an elbow to the back of the neck while fighting for a rebound late in overtime. He rubbed his neck before lying down at the end of Denver's bench.

He was later removed from the court on a stretcher and taken to a hospital as a precaution while the Nuggets flew home.
