Hoffman Estates, Palatine tree lightings set for Saturday

The villages of Hoffman Estates and Palatine will both host their annual tree-lighting ceremonies at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18.

The Hoffman Estates Friendship Tree Lighting will be at village hall, 1900 Hassell Road, and will feature dancers, refreshments, a visit from Santa and fireworks afterward. For more information on this free event, visit hoffmanestates.org.

The Palatine Tree Lighting will be at Towne Square at Slade and Greeley streets. Children will help Santa Claus and Mayor Jim Schwantz light the tree. The free event will feature cookies, hot chocolate and holiday music. For more information, visit palatine.il.us.
