Elgin looking for your input on waste and recycling services

Share your ideas and feedback about waste, recycling and organics services at a community engagement session at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2.

Residents are invited to stop by to share any ideas or feedback and ask questions. It will be held in the Heritage Ballroom in the Edward Schock Centre of Elgin, 100 Symphony Way. A Spanish translator will be in attendance.

Resident input is important as the city prepares its request for proposal to secure waste hauler services beginning in 2025.

The city's current contract expires at the end of 2024. Input gathered will be compiled with the city's recent online survey, which ran from July 14 to Sept. 1.

For more information, contact Edell Fiedler, director of communications and engagement, at (847) 931-5609.
