What did the state do with all that money?

Well, here we go again.

This wonderful state legislature needs more money. The obvious answer is raise the state income tax. I have seen no explanation as to where the $30 billion to $35 billion extra dollars went during the four years that the last tax increase was in effect.

The state is now several more billion dollars behind in paying its bills than it was before the last increase and the pension fund arrearages have increased by many more billions of dollars.

So what did the legislature do with all of that additional money? Do they simply find more ways to spend tax dollars or more pockets to stuff with "their' money. Why can't some newspaper or t.v. investigative agency find out where all of this money went and report it to the taxpayers before more tax money is piled into a legislative abyss.

It seems that Michael Madigan and this Democratic-controlled legislature only knows how to raise taxes and then find ways to distribute all of that extra money.
