Mobile COVID-19 testing this weekend in Elgin and Round Lake

COVID-19 mobile testing units managed by the Illinois Department of Public Health are scheduled to be in Elgin and Round Lake this weekend.

The testing will be available 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Lao Buddhist Temple, 50 King Arthur Court, in Elgin, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Round Lake High School, 800 High School Drive, in Round Lake.

Testing is free and open to all regardless of symptoms. Individuals should bring their insurance card if they have one. But insurance is not required.

Specimens will be collected using a simple nasal swab. Drive-through and walk-up testing are available at most locations.
