Tree and shrub help sought in Libertyville

Volunteers are needed to care for trees and shrubs planted last year on land owned by Libertyville Township, from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Sept. 23.

Snacks, instruction and tools will be provided to make it easy for beginners. Those who have work gloves, loppers or pruning shears should bring them. Long pants, long sleeves and sturdy shoes are recommended.

Volunteers can park at the end of Bull Creek Drive and Countryside Drive in Libertyville and walk east on Bull Creek Drive to the trailhead.

This project is organized Lake County Audubon and the Liberty Prairie Area Homeowners Association.
