Midweek Break on the Lake returns to Round Lake Beach

The Midweek Break on the Lake event series featuring music, storytellers and more returns June 7, at the Round Lake Beach Cultural & Civic Center grounds overlooking Hook Lake, off Hook Drive west of Route 83.

The free performances will be held from 6 to 9:30 p.m., June 7, July 5, Aug. 2, Sept. 6 and Oct. 4. The June 7 lineup features local naturalist Mark Spreyer discussing the environment and introducing his owl. Annamarie Platt-Miller is the featured storyteller, and the Travis Ritchie Trio, Here for the Summer, Gardiner Jazz Combo, and Jazzman Jeff Justman will perform.
