When will columnist keep his promise?
On Feb. 2, Groundhog Day as I recall, Richard Cohen did his typical teardown of any candidate not a liberal - thus, the GOP.
With then more than 10 candidates, he was free to pick and choose which issue and candidate to hone in on. Easy pickings for a liberal. But he did say he would also do an editorial on the Democrats' field. Fair enough. Well, it has now been six weeks since that column.
The silence has been deafening.
Now with only two candidates running for president for the Democrats, it shouldn't be that hard to sort out. One candidate is under investigation by the Justice Department and the other an avowed Socialist bordering on Communist who spent his honeymoon in the Soviet Union.
This isn't rocket science, Mr. Cohen. Time to man up. I realize the groundhog saw his shadow, but the six more weeks of winter has passed. Come out of your hole and let us know how you really feel.
Or will you wait until after the November election?
