Vaccine logic
In her Dec. 28 letter, Brenda Bodett asks how we decide who gets hospital treatment for severe illness, and she points to the examples of lung cancer and obesity. But there are differences.
Due to genes, and health issues, most overweight people have a difficult time controlling their weight and need help. Smokers are addicted to smoking, and it is very hard to quit without help.
Being vaccinated to stop the spread of COVID-19 does not fall into these groups, and it is a health issue to all people. This can easily be corrected by being vaccinated.
What logical reason would one not get vaccinated? Look how polio and the measles were eliminated.
