Police: Person shot while cleaning gun in Hoffman Estates

No life-threatening injuries were reported after a person was shot accidentally Thursday afternoon while cleaning on a gun on the 1300 block of Rosedale Lane in Hoffman Estates, police said.

Detectives are still on the scene and more information will be released as it becomes available, police Sgt. Mark Mueller said.
