Letter: A mistaken view of Biden's 'success'
I am responding to Susan Estrich's column "If he wants it, Biden deserves a second term." What alternate reality is she living in?
She states that Biden's presidency turns on his experience and character. Ha! His experience consists of one year's worth that was repeated for decades. As for character, he is a serial liar who sold access to his office to the highest bidder.
She is correct that he is an insider who relishes living in the swamp versus draining it. The "huge legislative victory" she claims he won A) will not reduce inflation B) will increase taxes on middle Americans by some $20 billion and C) will steer hundreds of billions of taxpayer money to untold Solyndra-like companies dealing in "green energy solutions."
That's a fantasy; the money would be better spent rebuilding the nation's nuclear power grid or solving for the potential of hydrogen fusion.
Estrich states that the only reason Democrats wouldn't support a Biden second term is age, and that "Biden is aging very well." Seriously? The man is a walking zombie who needs note card instructions, has to be told how to answer questions and has difficulty reading off a teleprompter. Not to mention the daily gaffes that keep his spin doctors working overtime.
The only thing Biden is deserving of is a thorough investigation into his influence-peddling operations and prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.
