Comparing Trump to Hitler is absurd

I am no big fan of Donald Trump but to compare him to Adolf Hitler as Mr. Lorimer does in Tuesday's Your Views is outrageous.

Mr. Lorimer says "Hitler said many of the same things that Trump is saying." Please, someone show the quotes of the same words being used by Hitler and Trump.

Mr. Lorimer goes on to say "among the first things Hitler did was to abolish democracy, free speech and opposition to the Nazi Party."

I don't believe I have heard Trump talk of abolishing democracy or free speech. He may well be in opposition to the Republican Party in many ways but have not heard him talk of persecution of those who continue to support any specific party.

If we want to look at the abolishing of democracy let's look at the Democratic Party with the Super Delegates who override the votes of the people in favor of their chosen candidate, Ms. Clinton. Is that democracy the Democratic way?

When it comes to abolishing free speech the Democrats have that one conquered also with Obama's IRS limiting the voices of conservative groups by not allowing them tax exempt status but OK for Democratic groups to gain the same status.

No trifecta for the Democrats in that I don't believe they have sought to abolish the opposing party so they got that going for them.

As I say, I am no fan of Trump but Hillary Clinton may well be more dangerous as her record of accomplishment shows she has been the overseer of the disaster in Libya along with the Arab Spring that has destabilized Egypt. She supported the Iraq war and although not confirmed from her mouth but that of Bill Clinton, "I loathe the Military."

These, among other well documented issues, makes Hillary unfit for the office of president, in my opinion. However, I will not go as far as to compare Ms. Clinton and the Democrats to Hitler.
