Keep the spotlight on

Kudos to the Daily Herald for turning up the heat on the deplorable state of politics in Illinois. I think it is especially useful when you print the names of good politicians (as you did in the June 29 edition) who "showed enough backbone to refuse to sign on to the sham of the speaker's unbalanced budget." Same applies for the bad guys driven by ego, greed, and personal agendas to do things not in the best interest of the majority of Illinois residents. Keeping a constant spotlight on the names and respective performance of politicians, both good and bad, helps voters make the right decisions at election time.
