Elgin police investigating shooting that injured one

Elgin police are investigating a shooting that injured one person.

Police say they responded to an Elgin hospital just before 9:30 p.m. Monday after an unidentified victim sought treatment for a gunshot wound. The victim's condition is unknown.

Police are seeking the public's assistance with the investigation as they are unsure where or when the shooting took place.
