Sterigenics expands in Texas

Sterigenics International, a global provider of contract sterilization, gamma technologies and medical isotopes, announced an expansion at their Fort Worth, Texas location, with the addition of a new gamma cell that will increase capacity by 30 percent. Expansion will be complete by early 2017.

The company has committed more than $80 million in capital investments in the past year, said Michael Mulhern, CEO of Sterigenics International.

The company also tripled its sterilization capacity at the Sterigenics West Memphis, Arkansas location; significantly expanded its Gurnee irradiation facility and increased our global service capabilities with the acquisition of leading Latin American sterilization firm Companhia Brasileira de Esterilização.

Opened in 1984, Sterigenics Fort Worth provides routine gamma, GammaStat rapid processing, process validation and SteriPro laboratory testing.
