Gurnee woman identified as victim of North Chicago crash

Authorities on Wednesday identified a 23-year-old Gurnee woman as the person killed Friday in North Chicago, authorities said.

The Lake County coroner's office said Rebecca Heraver was pronounced dead after the crash at the corner of routes 137 and 43 about 1 p.m. March 29.

Coroner officials said preliminary autopsy results show she died from multiple injuries she sustained in the crash. Toxicology results are pending, officials said.

The crash remains under investigation by North Chicago police, the Major Crash Assistance Team and the coroner's office. Further details were not immediately available Wednesday.
