Mobile Lombard blood drive set for June 14

Two mobile blood drives in Lombard are being run by Versiti Blood Centers of Illinois on Tuesday, June 14.

A blood drive bus will be parked at Yorktown Center, 145 Yorktown Shopping Center, near the Von Maur entrance, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The bus then moves to First Church of Lombard Fellowship Hall, 220 S. Main St., from 1:30 to 7 p.m.

Donors are advised to eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water before donating. Advance appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Photo ID is required.

Versiti is offering a free portable Bluetooth speaker to donors while supplies last.
