Lake County to host flood preparedness course

The village of Gurnee is encouraging residents to attend an all-day flood preparedness course hosted by the Lake County Stormwater Management Commission on February 15. The course is for residents, stakeholders, and governmental entities to discuss the science behind flood mitigation, forecasting, and emergency response. The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the stormwater management commission's office at 500 Winchester Road in Libertyville.
