Glen Ellyn Food Pantry benefits from Celebration of Tables
The Glen Ellyn Food Pantry held its 8th Annual Celebration of Tables fundraiser Saturday in partnership with the Glen Ellyn Newcomers Club. It was held at the Glen Oak Country Club.
The pantry provides fresh produce, meat, dairy, bread and shelf-stable foods to those in need. It serves 33,000 people annually across central DuPage County.
The event, which includes brunch, a raffle and live music, features about two dozen tables personalized by local businesses, the Newcomers, friends and other stylists. Last year, it raised $10,000 and about 300 people attended.
Ladies gather around one of the specially decorated tables Saturday during the 8th Annual Celebration of Tables, the signature annual fundraiser for the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry, produced in partnership with the Glen Ellyn Newcomers Club, at Glen Oak Country Club.
