Pedestrian killed by train in Antioch
A pedestrian walking along the railroad tracks in Antioch Saturday afternoon was struck and killed near the North Avenue railroad crossing, police said.
A Canadian National Railroad train struck the pedestrian just before 4 p.m. about 200 yards south of the North Avenue crossing, Antioch police said.
North Avenue remained closed from Main Street to Anita Avenue for more than three hours while police investigated. The person's identity is not currently being released.
