Hanover Township to provide tutoring services

For $45 per semester, the Hanover Township Tutoring Services Program offers board-certified teachers to help students in grades two through 12 with their academics. Tutoring groups are developed based on age, subject matter and learning needs.

"Last year, 236 students participated in the township's tutoring program," said Hanover Township Supervisor Brian P. McGuire. "I would encourage parents who have any concerns about their child's academic performance to contact the township and try our program."

The program begins Sept. 25. Parent orientation is at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Streamwood High School Sabre Center, 701 W. Schaumburg Road, Door #31, in Streamwood.
