Disgruntled liberal shows she's a poor loser
You can almost envision columnist Jamie Stiehm hyperventilating in her Jan. 25 article on U.S. Sen. Kristen Sinema of Arizona. With her expressive dejection, not only can you hear but you can also feel "fingernails rubbing on a chalkboard" when reading the article.
Ms. Stiehm lets loose with a plethora of demeaning and derogatory descriptions of Sen. Sinema. Included in the article are descriptive comments such as: How she talks ..."her voice was nothing special." Her fashion sense ..."bright, tight and shocking."
She doesn't stop there while continuing to note "the bare arms that she sports in winter." She sums up Sen. Sinema as an "odd duck delivering the swan song."
All this invective was conjured up as Sen. Sinema "sold out her president and her party" by refusing to coalesce with the Democrat Party's strongarm tactics to eliminate the Senate's long-standing filibuster rule.
One can easily interpret Ms. Stiehm as a disgruntled liberal who along with President Biden did not get her desired outcome. It can be said that the true measure of the grace and character of a person can be measured in the way a person carries themselves in the face of defeat. Using this as a parameter, we can loosely define Ms Stiehm with this simple phrase: She's a poor loser.
