Great cars for a great cause in Hanover Park
Car enthusiasts gathered Sunday to view more than 200 antique, muscle and modified automobiles, as well as interesting motorcycles, during the 9th annual Hanover Park Car and Motorcycle Show outside the village's Metra station.
"This year it benefits HP Community Research Coalition," Hanover Park Village Clerk Eira Corral Sepulveda said. "The HPCRC has programming for Hanover Park youth. We also partnered with the Hanover Park Veteran's Committee, who is fundraising for the war dog memorial."
Besides the vehicles on display and competing for prizes, visitors enjoyed food and music from a DJ and band. "I come every couple of years and I enjoy it a lot. It's a very nice show," Michael Prete of Harvard said as he displayed his modified 1998 Suzuki Intruder motorcycle. "People are great. Nice cars, nice bikes. Can't beat it."
