Cooperation, not just words, creates change
I disagree with Gerald Wester's claim that liberals' language is changing the nation. Language has the power to influence our choices, but legislation creates change.
When a majority of people deem that change needs to occur, laws are created which reflect the choices made by voters.
All of our opinions are fueled by passion. Yet, they are still just opinions. Ideally, politicians should approve legislation that meets somewhere in the middle.
Compromise is essential in order to move forward. First however, we must agree to disagree, without malice.
It will take the cooperation of both major political parties to ensure that positive change takes place.
America resulted from the fervent passion of a group of people seeking freedom from oppression. Their powerful desire for change ignited a spark, enabling them to face overwhelming odds and hardship to attain the freedom they so desired.
Over the course of time, our nation has grown, creating new and complex challenges. Despite our differences, it's imperative that we cooperate and work together to ensure that America prospers, continuing to ensure liberty and justice for all.
