New Italian restaurant coming to Arlington Heights

A new Italian-American restaurant in downtown Arlington Heights has announced Wednesday, Oct. 25 as its opening date.

Passero, at 5 W. Campbell St., will feature seasonal Italian-inspired cuisine, from a menu crafted by five-star chef Matt Peota. Peota, who last worked for Rick Bayless's Frontera Hospitality Group, is opening the restaurant with his wife, Rikki.

The eatery will be open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday.

The location previously housed Day Go Dogs and 'Za, and the Riviera Restaurant.
