School Health Corp. breaks ground in Rolling Meadows
Krusinski Construction Company said it has broken ground on a 112,505-square-foot building for School Health Corp. at 5600 Apollo Drive in Rolling Meadows.
School Health, which sells sports medicine equipment, early childhood products and special needs aids to 133,700 schools from preschool to college, is relocating from 865 Muirfield Drive in Hanover Park.
School Health is spending $9.9 million to demolish an old building and build a new one as part of the continuing redevelopment of a Rolling Meadows corporate campus.
Following demolition of the existing building and completion of ground-up, precast construction, the new LEED-certified building will be centrally located among various retail restaurants and shopping centers, with very close proximity to Interstate 290 and Interstate 90 situated directly north. The new building will include a two-story, 24,700-square-foot office space and a state-of-the-art warehouse. Project completion is slated for fall 2018.
School Health is expected to bring 130 employees to Rolling Meadows.
