Woodland golf fundraiser

The Woodland Educational Foundation is sponsoring its 10th annual golf outing July 22 at the Geneva National Golf Club in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. All proceeds go to support the students and staff of Woodland Elementary District 50. During the past eight years, funds raised at the golf outing have gone toward the foundation's purchase of Ga-Ga ball pits for the elementary playgrounds, LCD projectors, clocks for buses, laminators, and animated fairy tales, to name a few. Last year, approximately $23,000 was raised at the golf outing. Support for this event will allow the foundation to continue to help meet the needs of the staff and students at Woodland. Anyone interested in attending this event or making a donation can visit: https://www.dist50.net/FoundationInfo/pages/default.aspx for information. The event is one of three major fundraisers for the foundation. For more information about the golf outing, contact Ken Detina, (847) 561-7457.
