Aurora's Wesley UMC to host chili supper, movie night
Continuing its Gathering Community series, Wesley United Methodist Church in Aurora will hold a chili supper, pumpkin painting and showing of the movie "Hocus Pocus" on Wednesday, Oct. 19.
It will begin at 6 p.m. at the church, 14 N. May St. Admission and parking are free. Community gatherings feature a dinner followed by family activities.
Michelle Curiel, church youth director, said the event will open with a chili and cornbread supper.
After dinner, activities will include pumpkin painting and showing the hit Halloween film "Hocus Pocus."
Activities end by 8 p.m.
Wesley launched community gatherings on first and third Wednesdays in September with a pasta and painting event.
The series continues at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, with a Day of the Dead celebration and on Nov. 16 with a Thanksgiving meal.
Wesley holds Sunday worship services online at 9:30 a.m. and at 10:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary. All are welcome.
