Fox Valley Beaux Arts to present 'Notes of Nostalgia' Sept. 17

The Fox Valley Beaux Arts annual fundraiser will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Elgin Country Club, 2575 Weld Road, Elgin.

Entertainment will be provided by James Libera, a talented and entertaining Chicago-area performer singer. With 17 years of opera vocal coaching and training, Libera has the rare ability to perform difficult pieces of music from all genres.

"We are so pleased to have this opportunity to finally meet again in person for the first time in three years," said Susan Pepa, club president, "and give us a chance through our wonderful vendors and raffles to raise funds for awarding scholarships to seniors attending District U-46 and other Elgin high schools pursuing higher education in any area of the arts."

Tickets for the luncheon are $50 each.

Fox Valley Beaux Arts, a nonprofit women's club, was founded 40 years ago to foster and support the arts. Its mission is threefold: to elevate the arts by offering youth scholarships to Elgin area seniors majoring or minoring in the arts; community art support; and lifelong learning.
