Elk Grove Village Adopt-A-Family Program

As part of Elk Grove Village's annual Holiday Adopt-A-Family program, a total of 41 households were adopted during this holiday season spreading cheer to 95 individuals, including children through the generosity of Village employees, as well as many residents and organizations.

Seven Village departments sponsored families this holiday season. The Adopt-A-Family program connects groups of donors to families in need in the community. Generous sponsors provide items requested by the family, including winter clothing, toys, winter supplies, and more items to help these families have a great holiday season.

The gifts were purchased and wrapped for the families before being dropped off at the Village's Social Services office in mid-December where family members-who remained anonymous-were able to pick up their gifts in the weeks leading up to Christmas to spend and celebrate with their loved ones.
