Hanover Park man dies after being hit by tow truck at O'Hare
A 70-year-old Hanover Park man died Tuesday from injuries suffered when he was struck by a tow truck at O'Hare International Airport.
Syed Muhammed Imam was pronounced dead at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge as a result of multiple blunt force injuries, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office, which determined the death to be accidental.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Imam was hit by a city of Chicago tow truck driven by a 26-year-old man about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday in parking lot D at Terminal 5.
Police said Imam was not in a crosswalk or designated walking area, but that the department's major accident unit was investigating, according to the Sun-Times.
