Program to offer vegetable gardening tips

Learn how to be a successful vegetable gardener in a no-cost virtual program from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on March 8.

The presentation is the second in the Garden Learning Series offered by the University of Illinois Extension, Solid Waste Agency of Lake County and the Lake County Forest Preserve District held the second Wednesday of each month through November. The March program teaches how to grow healthy, productive plants and tend your garden. Tips include location/layout; preparation; recommended varieties; property planting; pest control, watering and harvesting.
