Let retired teachers help fill hiring gap
It would seem that a quick and low-cost solution to the teacher shortage problem in Illinois is to eliminate the 120-day limit on retired teachers working as classroom teachers. Given the teacher shortage, hiring a retired teacher is apparently not going to take away a job from a new teacher.
